Snow falling quietly, icicles shining all around...well, maybe not
in New Orleans – but
we will find our own winter wonderland by exploring the books of the season!
Week of January 19: Bears, Bears,
Everywhere!
We will have a “beary” good time reading bear stories, going
on a bear hunt, and more!

Night, Sleep Tight
Wear your pj’s to R.EA.D.’s pretend sleepover! We
will enjoy bedtime stories and songs.
Week
of February 2: Wake
Up Night
Find out which creatures are awake while you’re sleeping. We
will learn about nocturnal animals this week at R.E.A.D.
Week
of February 9: I
Love You!
We will celebrate Valentine’s Day this week - reading stories,
singing songs, making a card, and eating yummy treats!
Week of February 16: Throw
Me Something, Mister!
Come in your costume and celebrate Mardi Gras this week at R.E.A.D.

of February 23: No classes for Mardi Gras week.

Singing is one of our favorite things at R.E.A.D., and so this week
we’ll
have a whole session of favorite songs, and stories set to music

Join us to celebrate Willoughby’s birthday the R.E.A.D. way, with
stories, songs, and dancing!

of April 6: Digging Up Dinosaurs
We all love dinosaurs! This week we’ll have the silly, the factual,
and
everything in between in the world of dinos.

of April 13: No classes for Spring break.

of April 20: Earth Day
In honor of Earth Day, we will read and sing about land and sea, learn
about caring for the earth, and make recycled art!

of April 27: Going To The ZooCome along to visit the animals as we journey to the zoo
by way of books.

of May 4: Mothers’ Day
Join us to read about mothers and children, animal babies, and all
that moms do – as we say 3 cheers for mom on Mothers’ Day!

of May 11: The World is a Rainbow
Colors bring life and personality to everything around us. What’s
your favorite color? We’ll have a story or a rhyme for it this
week (and a colorful snack...)!
